Welcome to my website! I'm currently learning HTML and creative writing, so I thought I'd make a simple website to post some short pieces to as practice. Hopefully it'll grow and improve over time :).
I found my way into the Great Library years ago, and completely by accident. Where I came from doesn't matter; I was always looking for a way out of there anyway. The Library was my escape, but it wasn't an easy one. During those first few days I was nearly caught in a bookslide and I barely escaped from a flock of Loose Leaves - pages torn from books that gather together to seek revenge, swooping through the stacks in great swarms and bringing down their prey in a whirlwind of paper cuts. They're easy enough to avoid if you know what you're doing, but I had no idea what that awful fluttering noise meant, and by the time I realised I was in danger they were almost upon me. It was pure luck that they chased me into the path of a Gnosiphage and I was able to escape while the two beasts were distracted by each other. A sensible person probably would have left after that, or tried to, but even if I'd been able to find my way out again I wouldn't have gone back to my old life. There was just too much to explore, too many amazing things to discover. Even the dangers here were more fantastical than anything I'd seen in the world outside! Besides, you can't spend your whole life dreaming of adventure and then run away the moment it lands in your lap. Some things are worth a little (or a lot of) risk, and to me the Library is absolutely one of them.
